Don Bosco Tech Karunapuram organized an enriching field visit to the textile saree making and marketing industry on 12/11/2025 for the students of the E-Commerce Executive program. The visit was designed to offer a first-hand understanding of how traditional craftsmanship seamlessly integrates with modern marketing and digital business practices.

During the visit, students observed the intricate process of saree production, from design conceptualization and weaving techniques to finishing and quality control. Interactions with artisans and business owners provided valuable insights into the dedication, skill, and cultural heritage behind each product. The exposure helped students appreciate the journey of a product before it reaches the customer, highlighting the importance of storytelling and authenticity in today’s competitive market.

The marketing and sales discussions focused on customer engagement, pricing strategies, inventory management, and the growing role of online platforms in expanding market reach. Students gained practical knowledge on digital sales channels, customer handling, and the challenges of transitioning from traditional marketplaces to e-commerce-driven models.

This field visit served as a meaningful learning experience, effectively bridging classroom theory with real-world business operations. It encouraged students to think innovatively about blending tradition with technology, reinforcing Don Bosco Tech Society’s commitment to experiential learning and industry-relevant skill development.
