On 24th March 2025, Don Bosco Tech–Karunapuram hosted the final assessment for the Guest Service Associate – Food & Beverage program under the Accenture Hospitality 2024–2025 initiative. The event marked a significant milestone for trainees as they transitioned from classroom learning to demonstrating their readiness for the hospitality industry.

The assessment was structured to provide a holistic evaluation of the learners’ abilities. Theory components measured their conceptual grasp of service standards, workplace hygiene, and operational protocols. Practical exercises brought out their adaptability and confidence through role-plays that simulated real-world guest interactions—ranging from welcoming guests and managing check-ins to gracefully handling customer concerns. A final viva allowed assessors to observe personality traits, grooming, and the subtle yet crucial elements of professional demeanor.

What stood out was not just the technical competence displayed, but the enthusiasm with which trainees engaged. Many showcased a natural flair for communication, a willingness to listen, and the poise required to navigate service challenges. Beyond skill, there was a visible sense of pride in embodying the role of a hospitality professional, hinting at the transformation that the program has nurtured.

The concluding observation was encouraging: the majority of participants met or exceeded the occupational standards expected of Guest Service Associates. Certificates will be awarded to those who have successfully cleared all assessment stages, affirming their preparedness to step into the industry with confidence.

The program also highlighted the importance of continuous learning in a field as dynamic as hospitality. Periodic refresher sessions are recommended to ensure that the trainees not only retain but continue to refine their abilities. In this way, Don Bosco Tech continues to fulfill its mission of equipping young people with industry-relevant skills while instilling in them the confidence to pursue professional excellence.
