The Skill Development Center at Don Bosco Tech – Karunapuram celebrated International Women’s Day on March 8, 2025, with great enthusiasm. The event was organized to acknowledge the achievements of women, emphasize their vital role in society, and highlight the importance of skill development in fostering empowerment and self-reliance.
The program commenced at 10:00 AM with a welcome address delivered by the Center Coordinator, who emphasized the significance of International Women’s Day and outlined the center’s commitment to empowering women through skill-based education and training.
The celebration featured a variety of activities. Trainees presented cultural performances, including dance, music, and drama, all of which reflected themes of women’s empowerment and social awareness. A special session on “Women Empowerment through Skills” was conducted by a distinguished life coach. The session focused on the importance of self-confidence, financial independence, and continuous personal development, offering valuable insights to the participants.
The event concluded with a formal vote of thanks, followed by refreshments for all attendees.
