Report on Batch Inauguration Ceremony

Don Bosco Tech, Punalur, hosted the batch inauguration ceremony of the Software Programmer course on 08 July 2026 at 11:00 am with great dignity and enthusiasm. The programme brought together parents of 29 software programmer trainees and their parents, with trainees from the E-CommerceExecutive batch, creating a meaningful beginning to the new training journey. The event reflected the institution’s commitment to skill development, discipline, and career-oriented education for youth
The ceremony began with a prayer song rendered by the trainees of the Software Programmer batch, which created a solemn and inspiring atmosphere. The prayer set the tone for the day, reminding everyone of the values of gratitude, dedication, and hope that accompany every new academic and training initiative. Such a beginning also helped unite trainees, parents, and staff in a shared spirit of purpose.
Abhiram, a trainee from the Software Programmer batch, delivered the welcome speech and warmly greeted the gathering. In his address, he expressed heartfelt gratitude to the chief guest, management, trainers, parents, and fellow trainees for being present on this important occasion. His words effectively introduced the proceedings and reflected the confidence and communication skills encouraged through vocational training.
The presidential address was delivered by Fr. Vineeth Benedict, Director of Punalur Social Services Society. In his address, he appreciated the efforts of Don Bosco Tech in equipping young people with employable skills and guiding them toward responsible futures. He also highlighted the importance of discipline, commitment, and family support in ensuring the success of vocational education programmes.
The inauguration and inaugural address were delivered by Rt. Rev. Dr. SelvisterPonnumuthan, Bishop of Punalur Diocese. The Bishop graciously inaugurated the new batch and spoke on the value of skill training in empowering young people and building a better society. His presence added spiritual significance to the occasion and encouraged the trainees to pursue their studies with seriousness, confidence, and dedication.
As part of the ceremony, the trainees’ kit distribution was conducted, and the kits were received by Rehul and Shilfa. This moment symbolized the formal entry of the trainees into the training programme and marked the practical beginning of their learning process. The distribution of kits also served as a gesture of support and encouragement from the institution toward the trainees’ academic and professional growth.
A felicitation address was delivered by Abhijith, a trainee from the Software Programmer batch. He appreciated the leadership of the institution, the guidance of the trainers, and the encouragement provided by parents. His felicitation reflected the enthusiasm of the trainees and their readiness to engage actively in the training programme.
Parent orientation was handled by Geethu Angel Bosco, Trainer, Software Programmer. She explained the objectives of the course, the role of parents in supporting trainees, and the importance of regular participation, discipline, and cooperation. Her session helped build a stronger understanding between the institution and the families of the trainees.
The vote of thanks was proposed by Albin, a trainee from the Software Programmer batch. He sincerely thanked the Bishop, the Director, trainers, parents, and all trainees for making the event a memorable success. The ceremony concluded with cultural events presented by the trainees, which added colour, joy, and creativity to the occasion. The programme as a whole marked a promising beginning for the new batch and inspired everyone present to look forward to a fruitful training period.
