Don Bosco Tech Punalur celebrated World Youth Skills Day on 16 July 2026 with great enthusiasm and active participation from the Software and E-Commerce students. The event was organized to promote creativity, teamwork, innovation, and practical skill development among the trainees. The celebration aimed to inspire students to recognize the importance of vocational skills and creative thinking in shaping successful careers and responsible citizens.
The program commenced at 10:30 a.m. with a warm welcome to all the participants, faculty members, and guests. The significance of World Youth Skills Day was briefly explained, emphasizing the importance of equipping young people with practical and technical skills for a better future.
A total of six groups were formed by combining students from the Software and E-Commerce batches. Each group actively participated in two competitions: a Craft Making Competition and a Drawing Competition. The students demonstrated remarkable creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm while preparing their craft works and artistic drawings.
Every student participated sincerely and wholeheartedly, making the event vibrant and enjoyable. The craft items displayed originality and innovation, while the drawings reflected meaningful themes such as youth empowerment, skill development, environmental awareness, and social responsibility. The competitions encouraged students to think creatively and work collaboratively.
After the completion of the competitions, Mrs. Sheelamma and Sr. Rosetta visited each group and carefully evaluated the craft works and drawings. They appreciated the efforts, creativity, presentation, and teamwork displayed by the participants. Based on their evaluation, they prepared the final list of winners.
The prize distribution ceremony was conducted in the presence of all participants. Fr. Vineeth Benedict distributed the prizes and congratulated the winners for their outstanding performances. First Prize, Second Prize, and Third Prize were awarded to the best-performing teams. Fr. Vineeth Benedict also appreciated every participant for their sincere efforts and encouraged them to continue developing their talents and skills.
The celebration served as an excellent platform for students to enhance their creativity, communication, leadership, and teamwork skills. It also reinforced the importance of practical learning and skill development, which are the core objectives of Don Bosco Tech Punalur.
The faculty members and organizers appreciated the discipline, cooperation, and enthusiasm shown by all the students throughout the event. Their active participation contributed to the grand success of the celebration.
The program concluded at 1:00 p.m. with a vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to Fr. Vineeth Benedict, Mrs. Sheelamma, Sr. Rosetta, the faculty members, and all the students for their valuable support and participation.
