On the historic date of August 18, 2020, amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Don Bosco Tech, Kuntighat, embarked on a remarkable journey by inaugurating its ITC Batch-3 for the academic year 2020-2021. Despite the physical barriers, the spirit of education and celebration soared high as 20 eager students from diverse corners of Hooghly district and beyond eagerly enrolled for this pioneering venture.

Innovating in the face of adversity, the institution orchestrated a virtual inauguration ceremony, harnessing the power of technology through a Google Meet gathering. With meticulous planning and unwavering determination, the event unfolded seamlessly, marking a significant milestone in the annals of Don Bosco Tech.

Under the thematic embrace of India's Independence Day and the birthday commemoration of our revered father and founder, St. John Bosco, the atmosphere resonated with patriotism and gratitude. Students, the heartbeat of this auspicious occasion, radiated enthusiasm as they warmly welcomed esteemed guests and mentors.

The program, orchestrated with finesse by Amit Muhuri and Sampa Pradhan, commenced with a soul-stirring invocation, beseeching divine blessings for global healing and progress. Amit Sarkar eloquently delivered a poignant speech, commemorating India's 73rd Independence Day, infusing the gathering with pride and reverence.

Following suit, Riya Roy paid homage to the visionary legacy of St. John Bosco, articulating his profound impact on the ethos of education and enlightenment. The cultural tapestry unfurled with Chandan Mondal's melodious ode to freedom, resonating through hearts and echoing the spirit of unity.

Madhuri Pramanik's poignant recitation of Rabindranath Tagore's immortal verses stirred emotions, while Sampa Pradhan's rendition of Michael Madhusudan Dutta's poetry added a touch of literary splendor to the proceedings.
