On August 24, 2021, amidst the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, Don Bosco Tech, Kuntighat, proudly inaugurated its ITC Batch 3 for the academic year 2021-22. This batch, consisting of 35 students specializing in Food & Beverage Service, hails from diverse backgrounds within and beyond the Hooghly district.
Despite the constraints of the pandemic, the institution orchestrated a remarkable online inauguration ceremony for Batch 4. Leveraging technology, a Google Meet session was organized, and the link was shared with students well in advance.
Commencing at 10:00 am, the event was orchestrated entirely by the students, led by the capable host, Raju Mondal. The proceedings commenced with a solemn prayer, beseeching blessings for the world's betterment amid the prevailing global situation.
The ceremony commenced with an insightful introduction to the life and work of Saint Don Bosco, setting a tone of inspiration for the gathering. This was followed by a thought-provoking speech on Janmastami by student speaker Ranjit, and a soulful rendition of a folk song by Mampi. Biswajeet's poignant poem on women's safety added depth to the occasion.
The cultural fabric of the event was woven with Koyel's captivating dance performance, captivating the audience. Other students contributed with diverse performances, including songs and speeches on various topics, showcasing their talents and creativity.
The culmination of the event was marked by a heartfelt vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to all involved for their hard work and dedication. As the clock struck 11 o'clock, the event drew to a close, leaving a lasting impression of celebration and camaraderie.
This inauguration ceremony served not only as a commencement of academic pursuits but also as a testament to resilience and adaptability in the face of adversity, reflecting the spirit of Don Bosco's teachings and the indomitable human spirit.
