Don Bosco Tech, Kuntighat, faced the challenge of navigating the COVID-19 pandemic, which prevented the physical reopening of the institute. However, amidst these trying circumstances, the institute successfully organized an online virtual guest lecture for Batch 2 and 3 on July 29, 2021. The distinguished guest of honor was Mr. D.B Roy, HRM (PSPD) at ITC Ltd. Introduced by Mr. Rahul Raj, Mr. Roy brought with him a wealth of experience and reputation within the industry.

The event commenced promptly at 9:30 am via Google Meet, with the link shared beforehand with both students and the guest speaker. Mr. Roy was warmly welcomed by the 66 students, accompanied by 3 trainers and 2 mobilizers of DBT Kuntighat. Expressing his delight at the large turnout, Mr. Roy commenced the hour-long session by addressing the prevailing pandemic situation.

The students were encouraged to introduce themselves and share their career aspirations. The guest speaker, along with the resource faculty, provided insights into the corporate world, offering guidance on overcoming challenges and nurturing leadership qualities.

Mr. Roy engaged actively with the students, seamlessly switching between English, Hindi, and Bengali. He emphasized the principles essential for success and shed light on the significance of punctuality, duties, flexibility, perseverance, effective communication, and self-care in professional life.

The students were captivated by Mr. Roy's wisdom, gaining valuable insights into stress management and personal development. They actively participated, posing thoughtful questions which Mr. Roy graciously answered, leaving them inspired and enlightened.
