Our guest lecture was organized on 04TH March 2021 at Don Bosco Tech, Kuntighat. Our guest of honour was Mr Abhisek Gupta front office executive associate of  Texplazzo hotel in Surat. He started his career as a trainee Steward in a hotel in Mumbai. Later he gathered experience and worked in different hotels in India.

He communicated actively with our students in all 3 languages namely- English, Hindi and Bengali. Mr Abhisekh Gupta informed them about the advantages of working in the same hotel/restaurant for a longer period of time. Our guest explained to the students the importance of being punctual at their workplace, the duties and responsibilities that will be rendered to them once they join the hotel industry, what are the benefits of learning English and incorporating the same while interacting with the guests, the different ways and methods of excellent guest service, how can the students enhance their working skills, when can they change their department or appear for an interview for a promotion, the basic necessities of a good hotelier and so on.

Our students were wonderstruck post listening to him as they gained a lot of knowledge about the hotel industry and its main departments. They could now understand the difference between the different departments and how they function together. Our students had several queries and gradually they kept asking the same to Mr Abhisekh Gupta who answered them generously and always with a smile. Post completion of the guest lecture, he enquired about the centre and how long we have been in Kuntighat. He congratulated us for running such a blooming centre and helping the young boys and girls to stand on their own feet by earning a living for their families. Finally, before bidding goodbye to Mr Abhisekh Gupta our students thanked him for sacrificing his precious time for them. Thus, our guest lecture was completed successfully.
