In the midst of the challenging circumstances brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic, Don Bosco Tech at Kuntighat adapted ingeniously by organizing a virtual guest lecture program on December 7, 2020, for Batch 5 and Batch 6. Despite the virtual setting, the event was a resounding success, providing students with invaluable insights and inspiration.
The distinguished guest speaker for the occasion was Mr. Indranil Ghosh, whose rich experience as an Assistant Service Manager on Princess' cruise ships lent an unparalleled depth to the discussion. The session commenced promptly at 11:00 AM, with Mr. Ghosh joining the virtual meeting at 11:10 AM through the Google Meet app, which had been pre-arranged for seamless connectivity.
During the hour and a half session that followed, Mr. Ghosh regaled the students with captivating anecdotes from his illustrious career journey, spanning various hotels and cruise lines. His narrative not only shed light on the intricacies of service department operations within the hospitality industry but also delved into the functioning of other departments, offering students a holistic understanding.
One of the most inspiring aspects of Mr. Ghosh's address was his emphasis on perseverance and continuous learning.
