Amidst the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, our institute persevered in its commitment to education by hosting an unforgettable online experience for Batch 4. On the memorable date of September 15, 2021, our virtual doors swung wide open for the eagerly anticipated second online guest lecture, featuring the esteemed Ms. Prity Das as our honored guest.
The stage was set on Google Meet, where students and our special guest, Ms. Das, converged at 11:00 PM. Welcomed warmly by a sea of enthusiastic faces, Ms. Das wasted no time diving into her rich background in the hotel industry, spanning four years of invaluable experience, with her current role as Guest Relations Executive at the prestigious Hotel Rass Mahal Jaipur.
Under the adept guidance of Mr. Atanu Biswas, Ms. Das illuminated the virtual space with insights into the intricacies of the industry. From the importance of longevity in one's tenure at a particular establishment to the art of impeccable guest service, every word she spoke resonated deeply with our eager learners.
Language barriers melted away as Ms. Das effortlessly switched between English, Hindi, and Bengali, ensuring every student felt included and engaged. Her discourse on the significance of punctuality, the nuances of different departments such as housekeeping and food and beverage stewardship, and the pathways to career advancement left the students spellbound.
As the clock ticked towards midnight, the energy in the virtual room remained palpable. Students eagerly shared their aspirations, soaking in every nugget of wisdom dispensed by Ms. Das and the resource faculty. Queries flowed freely, each met with patience and warmth, cementing a bond between mentor and mentee that transcended the digital realm.
With hearts and minds enriched, our students bid farewell to Ms. Das, grateful for her generosity in sharing her time and expertise. The virtual guest lecture had not only surpassed expectations but had also ignited a newfound passion and understanding for the dynamic world of hospitality.
Thus, on that fateful September night, amidst a global pandemic, our institute proved that barriers may separate us physically, but they cannot dampen the spirit of learning and growth.
