WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY REPORT
05 Jun 2022
Don Bosco Tech, Kuntighat, embraced World Environment Day on June 5th, 2022, with a profound sense of purpose and enthusiasm. The day was marked by an enlightening awareness program organized by the students and trainers, aimed at instilling a deep-rooted sense of responsibility towards our environment. The event commenced with a prayer at 10:00 am, symbolizing our collective commitment to nurturing and preserving our planet.
Central to our program was the act of planting saplings, symbolizing our dedication to greener surroundings and a healthier ecosystem. Each student contributed by planting a sapling, transforming our campus into a vibrant oasis of greenery. Supported by our dedicated trainers, the planting activity was not only educational but also a testament to our resolve to take tangible steps towards environmental conservation.
As part of the festivities, a drawing competition was held, showcasing the artistic talents of our students, who depicted themes of nature and conservation with creative flair. Additionally, Mr. Asif and Mr. Chandan, two of our students, eloquently recited a poignant poem celebrating the beauty and importance of Mother Nature.
Following the outdoor activities, we gathered in the hall, where Mr. Atanu, one of our esteemed trainers, delivered an insightful and well-researched speech. He illuminated the current state of our environment and emphasized the urgent need for awareness and action. Mr. Atanu shared practical steps to mitigate pollution and encouraged everyone to be ambassadors of cleanliness and environmental stewardship. Importantly, he stressed the significance of motivating others to join in this crucial endeavor for a healthier, sustainable future.
The program concluded with a collective pledge taken by all participants, affirming our commitment to safeguarding the environment and ensuring a pollution-free world. This celebration not only educated and inspired us but also reinforced our responsibility to cherish and protect our planet for generations to come.
