ONLINE GUEST LECTURE FROM AQUATICA RESORT, ITC EAST, YR 9, 2021-22, BATCH – 1
29 Jun 2021
It was a wonderful experience to have Mr. Sahir Ali Molla, an Executive of the Food & Beverage Department at Aquatica Resort for the online guest lecture on 29th June 2021. The students were very much interested to attend this guest lecture when they heard from the trainers that he is also an ex-student of Don Bosco Nitika. He shared his experiences for the student’s benefit and ease out the assumptions about their future forthcoming career.
He interacted with 26 students of ITC East, Yr 9, Batch 1, 2021-22 and was very glad to spend his valuable time with the young blood. Mr. Sahir Ali Molla has worked with Barbeque Nation, Wild West Tavern Pub and currently he is working in Aquatica. He explained to every candidate that they should not hop from one hotel to another, instead they should work for a minimum of 1 year in any department to gain adequate knowledge of the industry. The journey from a steward to an Executive was never an easy walk. He informed the students to keep an open mind and adaptive nature, to gain knowledge from wherever they can and observe each and everything to use that for their own good. He believes that hard work and competency can lead their way to success; he encouraged the trainees by stating that comprehensive knowledge will enable them to achieve prestigious posts in the hotel industry. He shared his own story of hardships to inspire and give insight to students and helped them to understand the reality of what they might face and what they need to be prepared for in the hotel industry.
He encouraged the trainees to have an ambition – a reason to live their life; a reason for their existence. Words of his conveyed the message with sheer clarity, but what added more to the clarity was the determination with which he spoke. After an hour of guest lecture, there was a common discussion where the trainees had an opportunity to clear their doubts regarding the workplace. Mr. Sahir Ali Molla also explained the basic Do's and Don’ts of workplace and workplace protocols.
Mr. Sahir Ali Molla concluded by wishing the trainees for their brighter future ahead and also extended his hands by assuring that he will provide full support by absorbing the students of Don Bosco tech in well-reputed organizations as he always does. The candidates also thanked Mr. Sahir Ali Molla and the staff for organizing such an inspiring guest lecture.
