15 Mar 2022
Employment is the main focus for any country/society/college, particularly skill sector institutes. Because only giving the best education or training to the students is not enough. The system has to provide a platform for the students to implement & explore their skills in the professional fields.
Don Bosco Tech Society with the help of its funding partner ITC organized a “Job Fair” on 15th March 2022 at Don Bosco Tech Nitika, Kolkata. The idea of the institution is beyond giving the education to students to qualify their academics with flying colours. The Don Bosco Tech team took additional responsibility to support them in making the right start to their career. In the desire to help them in this aspect, Don Bosco Tech organized this event.
More than 180 students from Don Bosco Tech Kuntighat & Don Bosco Tech Nitika participated in this Job Fair with their trainers. There were different employers from the Hospitality sector. Don Bosco Tech cordially welcomed over 25 employers from flourishing organizations that offer full-time jobs. These employers discussed the career options within their organizations with the candidates. Mr Rahul Raj (ITC Program Executive) also spoke about the different investments contributed by ITC for increasing youth’s career aspect.
The recruitment process for the students was plain and simple. They had to go through a personal round of interviews with each student getting around three to four chances to sit for the interview with different employers. Most of the candidates turned up happy with the kind of jobs that were offered to them. The employers were also very happy and satisfied with this event and were glad that they attended it.
