It was an enlightening experience as Mr. Parimal Baidya, a vibrant professional hailing from Kolkata and currently serving as a CDP at Hotel Rajbari Bawali, graced our online class (via Google Meet) on July 16, 2021. With a combined audience of 53 candidates and trainers from Batch 1 and Batch 2, the session promised to unveil the essence of perseverance and dedication in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Parimal Baidya commenced the discourse by delving into his personal journey, highlighting the challenges he encountered in his early days within the hotel realm. He emphasized the indispensable nature of competence in adapting to the multifaceted environment of a hotel, asserting that no individual can evade this reality. His narrative of starting from the ground level, enduring hardships, and relentlessly striving for excellence resonated deeply with the young talents of Nitika.
Recounting instances of being underestimated and subjected to menial tasks, Mr. Baidya underscored the importance of humility and a thirst for knowledge. His willingness to go the extra mile, spending nights in the kitchen alongside seasoned chefs, purely to glean insights and refine his craft, left an indelible impression.
