Don Bosco Tech (Nitika) proudly hosted the Batch Inaugural Program for ITC-East 2019-20, Batch 7 & 8, at their Nitika premises on November 23rd, 2019. The event was a jubilant celebration, filled with memorable moments and newfound knowledge. Fr. Robin Gomes, the Center in charge of Don Bosco Nitika, along with a dedicated team of trainers—Gautam Maitra (Centre Coordinator and F&B Trainer), Tarun Kr. Borgi (Multi Cuisine Trainer), Estrela Osta (Communicative English and ITES Trainer), and Avijit Roy (Mobilizer)—welcomed 71 enthusiastic trainees to the program.

The inauguration commenced at 11:00 am with a short cultural program. The ceremony began by invoking divine blessings with a heartfelt prayer, followed by the garlanding of St. Don Bosco’s portrait and the lighting of the ceremonial lamp. One of the trainees set the tone for the day with a beautiful rendition of Rabindra Sangeet. The atmosphere was further enlivened by a series of vibrant performances, including solo and group songs, dynamic dances, and a captivating skit by the trainees of ITC East 2019-20.

Following the cultural showcase, Fr. Robin Gomes addressed the gathering, providing an insightful overview of the ITC projects and the success of their placement and retention strategies. His words were both inspiring and enlightening, underscoring the significance of the event. Mr. Gautam Maitra and Mr. Tarun Kr. Borgi then shared their expertise on the hotel industry, highlighting the vast array of job opportunities available for hospitality trainees. They emphasized the glamorous and promising nature of the profession, which offers significant exposure and a pathway to a bright future. Miss Estrela Osta added to the excitement by discussing career advancement and placement opportunities, both in India and abroad.

The trainers also took the opportunity to motivate the parents, sharing inspiring success stories from previous batches, showcasing the remarkable impact of Don Bosco Tech’s training programs. The inauguration concluded on a high note, celebrating the exceptional efforts of Don Bosco Tech in empowering students with valuable skills for better job opportunities.

The event was a resounding success, leaving everyone with lasting memories and a renewed sense of optimism for the future.
