A parent teacher meeting helps to communicate to parents the areas their children are excelling in and to give them specific ideas of how to improve upon their child’s performance. Parent teachers should be used as a platform to make a lasting bond with the parent to increase the likelihood of academic success for their children. Keeping this goal in mind, a parent- teachers meeting was organized in our center on 23rd November, 2019, immediately after the inauguration. To organize a successful meeting, joint efforts were made by all the trainers. Altogether 59 parents attended the meeting. All the faculty members were allotted with different responsibilities. The points to be discussed with parents were decided after a brain-storming session in the meeting.
All the Trainers interacted with the parents. It is extremely important to keep the doors open and welcome parents in the educational goals of the students. Trainer Mr.Tarun explained the parents about the importance of the course, its placement and why it is important to send the students for job. He insisted the students to be faithful and sincere in their life and use the opportunities provided to them in the best possible manner to attain their goals.
All the Trainers Gautam Maitra (centre coordinator and FMB Trainer), Tarun Kr. Borgi (Multi Cuisine Trainer), Estrela Osta (Communicative English and ITES Trainer), Avijit Roy (Mobilizer) also motivated the parents and the trainees quoting the examples from their own life and emphasized on the importance of job and benefits of working on a particular job for specific period of time. Teachers individually met parents of the placed students and explained regarding their offers. Parents were happy to share their views too and clarified their doubts. While concluding, Trainer Mr.Gautam expressed the words of gratitude to the parents and the trainees for attending this meeting. Finally the meeting ended with a positive note by thanking the parents and requesting them to identify their child’s strength and to encourage them for future endeavors.
