Articulated venture of mobilization for the Retail Management domain of Don Bosco Tech (Kollam) started from August 05, 2019.

The methods that the trainers followed are door to door visit, announcements in the Churches, Kudumbasree meetings and aired the news through FM Radios, etc. Moreover, we distributed flyers to college students and in crowded areas. The staff members of Fishermen Community Development Program (FCDP), Theeradesha Mahila Society (TMS) & Childline contributed substantially by distributing brochures and bringing awareness among the local people. News about the Don Bosco Training featured in some print media such as Malayala Manorama, Deshabhimani, Mathrubhumi, Kerala Kaumudi, Deepika, Mangalam, etc. We telecasted about the courses through Radio Benziger (popular Community Radio Service, Kollam). Moreover, we contacted some cable visions for advertising the same.

We also visited some fishermen’s colonies in the coaster areas of Kollam, because many alumni of these localities had completed their training from Don Bosco Tech (Kollam).  We used our tactics to reach out to many more youth of Kollam areas through our alumnus. The following days we conducted some Kudumbasree meetings in village areas. There, we distributed as many flyers as we could. Thus, we were able to create awareness among the people about the courses. As a result of this step, we were able to reach out to almost 10-15 students. As usual, we collected their contact numbers of Kudumbasree members. Sooner than late, we created a WhatsApp group to which messages and reminders were sent infrequent intervals. By then we managed to reach out to all the parishes of Kollam via e-mail. By the end complete 30 days of the mobilization, we got almost 40 students for the training.
