Batch Inauguration of  DBTech Kollam under the Accenture project was held on 02- February -2021. The function was graced with the presence of the Kollam Mayor Smt.Prasanna Earnest. She came to know about Don BoscoTech during a meeting at Kollam Corporation during the mobilization period. She was very much interested in DB. Tech service-oriented process and its aim of enhancing youth development.

The function began with a prayer dance conducted by the DB.Tech students.  Mrs Smitha.RR ( Trainer  ) welcomed the dignitaries and gave a short description of DB. Tech Kollam and its courses.  Followed by the lighting lamp ceremony by Smt. Prasanna Earnest (Mayor, Kollam ). Fr. Sunny Uppan SDB ( Centre Director – DB.Tech Kollam ) Fr. Joe Fernandenz SDB  ( Director - Don Bosco Boys Home ), Fr. Joby SDB ( Director – FCDP and TMS ) and a representative of the trainers and trainees.

At the Inaugural Speech Smt. Prasanna Earnest inspired the students by citing the importance of the NSDC”s  Skill Development Courses and  DB.Tech initiatives.  She promised all the support from the Corporation level for youth development. Fr. Sunny Uppan (  Centre Director- DB.Tech Kollam ) addressed the dignitaries and audience with a warm welcome and briefly explains the motive and purpose of the centre. He further spoke on the guidelines, rules and regulations that are to be followed by the trainees at the centre.

Trainees presented several cultural programmes and the programme was concluded with the vote of thanks given by Mr Tinu Ruben ( Trainer  ) The day was a memorable one for all the trainees and staff.
