The induction program for the 9th Retail Management batch was held on October 7, 2019, at Don Bosco Tech Society, Sulthan Bathery. The total number of students counseled for Retail Management was 31 of the 33 number registered.

Apart from the ice-breaking sessions and life-skills classes, there were some classes by Fr. Benny and Br. Philip too. There were also interactive sessions of the trainees with the parents of the previous batches. Throughout the 6-day-induction program, there were a lot of ice-breaking sessions besides screening of domain-based videos, videos on the life of Don Bosco, and other motivational videos.

The Student Diaries were distributed to the trainees with the necessary instructions. These trainees filled in the Interest Inventory form to help trainers assess their field of interest. The trainees were accompanied at length and breadth of the campus to familiarized themselves with the Don Bosco setup and way of life. Games on Teamwork, Time Management, etc. were also part of the induction program. It was announced that the tentative classes on domain-specific would start on October 14, 2019.

It was a very effective program for the students. This program helped students visualize both; who they are and who they are not. The induction program also helped the trainees learned the approach to a skill-oriented program and its ethics and values. During the group discussion, the trainees raised a bundle of queries relevant to their future careers in Retail.

After the induction program, the students were enthusiastic and energetic.
