On August 13, 2022, the vibrant spirit of Independence Day pulsated through the halls of Don Bosco Tech Kollam, igniting hearts with fervor and patriotism. As India commemorated its 75th year of freedom under the resplendent banner of 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav', the Kollam Centre embarked on a journey of celebration and remembrance.

Amidst the echoes of prayers and the anticipation in the air, the day's festivities commenced at 11:00 am, with the gathering of eager trainees and the esteemed center head. Standing tall upon the stage, the Director and instructors, adorned with pride, orchestrated a ceremonial parade, symbolizing unity and resilience. 

At 11:30 am, amidst a crescendo of anticipation, Fr. Bino Nadackal, the esteemed director of DB Tech, unfurled the tricolor, a poignant moment marking the essence of freedom and sacrifice. The reverent silence was then engulfed by the stirring strains of the national anthem, echoing the collective aspirations of a nation bound by dreams and aspirations.

Following the soul-stirring rendition, the Director, in his impassioned address, invoked the spirit of patriotism and resilience, inspiring all present to uphold the ideals of liberty and progress. 

But the celebration didn't end there; it transcended into moments of camaraderie and competition, as a spirited carroms tournament and a captivating quiz, themed on 'India and Independence', ensued. As the day drew to a close, each pupil departed with not just a box of candies, but with a renewed sense of pride and belonging to a nation whose journey of independence continues to inspire generations.
