Hands-on learning is the best way to acquire skills

Don Bosco Tech (Sabbavaram) organized the field visit to Yerukuvanipalem village (near Sabbavaram) for Electrical trainees on June 4, 2019. This field visit was organized for the trainees to acquire practical knowledge on classroom learned subject. The entire trainees were accompanied by Mr. Chennakesavulu (Trainer, Electrical). First, He took them to the house where electrical work was going on. There he explained about the electrical installation for houses by showing each and every slot/sections in the house. Then he explained about the different types of wirings in electrical and purpose of each with clear explanation and also demonstrated on protective devices which play a major role in protecting the entire house from the electrical faults like earth leakage, short circuit and electrical lightening etc.
Mr. Chennakesavulu also explained each and every electrical tools and appliance normally used in the electrification of houses and buildings. He divided all the trainees into groups and gave them a task to install switchboards at different levels in different rooms and all trainees executed that particular task very well.
Trainees were briefed of the various sections of the work and tools. Finally, a question and answer session provided good insight into the operations and machines. It was a significant opportunity for the students of electrical to gain practical experience of visiting the village electrical pipeline work and acquire knowledge about the practical applications of their classroom-based study.
