A study tour to Power Station by Sabbavaram trainees

Creating valuable opportunities for the Asst. Electrician trainees of Phase-10 Batch -4, Don Bosco Tech Society (Sabbavaram, Andhra Pradesh) center took them to Power Station located at the scenic beauty of Sabbavaram. This trip was made after much awaited on January 17, 2020. The visit would not have been complete had they not paid a visit to the various segments of the power station and not been briefed of the same.
The trainees were accompanied by trainers. They reached the power station by 10.30 am. Mr. Apparao (In Charge of Electrical Department), took the initiative to make these visitors have complete knowledge about the power station. During the visit, students were briefed of the various sections of the power station. They visited all the major segments of the power station.
While the visit was on, the head of the power station spent about 30 minutes interacting with them. During this period he explained the function of the industry where he said to have mentioned that the staff work round the clock. He also explained the functioning of the machines. “We were happier at the same time cautious upon the detailed explanation about the danger involved in case of carelessness,” said one of the trainees. They were taught how to act in case of an emergency. Mr. Apparao was very kind enough to explain various topics while shown them practically as well.
Finally, the question-answer session by the management gave good insight into the operations of machines. The trainees were indeed very happy to have visited the power station and to learn about it said to be one of the biggest projects in the country. It was a significant opportunity for the students who gained the confidence to work in Power plants, the type of work they perceived to be breath-taking.
