The 22nd of January 2020 marked a significant day for the students of Hospitality and Electrical Phase 10 Batch 3 & 4 at DB Tech, Sabbavaram. This milestone was celebrated with an inauguration, a parents' meeting, and a valedictory function. The day was a harmonious blend of happiness, excitement, joy, music, enthusiasm, and laughter.
The event was graced by distinguished guests including Rev. Fr. Balashowry, Provincial Father Rev. Fr. Thathi Reddy Vijay Bhaskar, State Head Rev. Fr. Sudhakar, Br. Pietro, international guests, Sr. Lysa, Mr. Chennakesavulu, Ms. Adi Ramalaxmi, Sr. Rani, all the trainees, their parents, and alumni of Sabbavaram.
The inauguration commenced at 3:30 PM with a soulful prayer song by the students. Rev. Fr. Balashowry delivered the welcome address, expressing gratitude to the attendees for their participation. He emphasized the importance and benefits of skill training and development, highlighting how the center provides opportunities for underprivileged and unemployed youth. He noted that the training program is free of cost and offers job placements for those who complete the training successfully.
Provincial Rev. Fr. Thathi Reddy Vijay Bhaskar shared his joy at seeing many young boys and girls engaged in various courses at Don Bosco Tech. He praised the parents and students for their enthusiasm and readiness to embrace skill training. He discussed the necessity of such training, the career opportunities available post-training, and wished the trainees the best of luck for their futures.
Ms. Ramalaxmi, the Hospitality Trainer, explained the significance of organizing a parent-teacher meeting. Following her, Mr. Chennakesavulu, the Electrical Trainer, provided valuable insights into the importance of skill training in the current job market. He emphasized the impact of these skills on the students' future careers.
Certificates were awarded to the students of the previous batch, Hospitality and Electrical Phase 10 Batch 1 & 2, who had successfully completed the three-month course and secured placements. Former students Mr. Ratna Prakash and Ms. Ankitha shared their success stories, recounting their journeys and achievements, including receiving the best employment award from their respective organizations. They expressed their gratitude to Don Bosco Tech for providing free skill training that paved the way for their bright futures.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. P. Rani, CE, ITeS Trainer. She appreciated the support, patience, and presence of all participants, bringing the event to a close on a note of mutual appreciation and hope for continued success.
