Exposure visit to Hotel Mantris (Visakhapatnam)

Don Bosco Tech (Sabbavaram) organized exposure visit to Hotel Mantris (Visakhapatnam) for the Hospitality trainees on June 6, 2019. This new hotel welcomes guests with wealth of world-class amenities and gorgeously designed rooms. This Hotel is running a restaurant, one banquet hall; and the hotel has three types of rooms i.e. Standard room, Executive Room, Deluxe Room.
Ms. Anila (HR Manager, Hotel Mantris) welcomed all the trainees and explained all the features of the hotel. After that, she introduced Mr. Prem Kumar (Executive Department Head, Hotel Mantris) to the trainees who explained about their restaurant and all the departments in hotel like food and beverage services, Food and Beverage Production. He showed all the departments and introduced Mr. Jadheeshwar Rao (staff of Hotel Mantris), who spoke to our students about the time management, grooming and also said that he is interested to provide placements for our students.
In Food and Beverage Service department, trainees were shown different food outlets including the main restaurant. In the food production department, Production Manager gave them adequate information about the department and showed them different section including the kitchen stewarding and stoves. The students were surprised about the security and safety measures are taken by the hotel including Fire extinguishers and first aid.
Mr. Ravi (Manager, Hotel Mantris) showed the board room and types of rooms available for customers that are Deluxe, Luxury etc. and the tariff they charge for each room type. Later, Mr. Narayana Rao explained the roles and responsibilities of each department and the terminology that is used in the hotel industry. The management was impressed by the Don Bosco Tech when they came to know about the vision and objectives of the organization.
At the end of the visit all the trainees expressed their joy and said visit was a wonderful, fruitful and useful experience for Hospitality Trainees which would help them in their career in the future. The visit concluded with gratitude and heartiest thanks to the hotel and all the management staff for their support and assistance to make the visit successful.
