From May 23 to May 28, 2025, Don Bosco Tech-Monada hosted an Induction Programme that went far beyond a traditional orientation, setting the stage for an empowering journey for 85 incoming students. Designed not only to welcome but to transform, the programme blended academic introduction with personal growth, offering young learners a holistic path toward confidence, community, and career readiness.
The initiative aimed to immerse students in the vision, mission, and values of Don Bosco, while simultaneously equipping them with skills essential for both professional success and personal development. By fostering self-awareness, strengthening interpersonal skills, and creating a strong sense of belonging, the programme positioned itself as the first step in shaping the leaders and changemakers of tomorrow.
Over the course of five days, the students engaged in a series of dynamic activities—ranging from skill-building workshops and interactive sessions to motivational showcases and collaborative tasks. These experiences were not limited to classroom-style learning; instead, they encouraged active participation, reflection, and meaningful connection.
One of the most impactful aspects was the emphasis on employability and vocational pathways. Students gained fresh insights into the expectations of the professional world, preparing them for future challenges while keeping their aspirations aligned with achievable opportunities. Confidence-building activities further enhanced their communication, leadership, and decision-making abilities, while community integration exercises nurtured teamwork and mutual respect. Mentors added depth to the experience by sharing real-life success stories, inspiring the students to dream bigger and strive harder.
The highlights of the week included lively ice-breaker and energizer sessions that dissolved barriers, introductions to the dedicated Don Bosco Tech-Monada staff who will guide the students through their journey, and job role orientation sessions that offered clarity on career options. Reflection circles, held daily, became safe spaces for students to articulate their thoughts, evaluate their growth, and build a habit of constructive feedback.
Feedback gathered from participants reflected a resounding sense of fulfillment. Students spoke of newfound confidence, sharper clarity about their career direction, and a renewed drive to succeed. Many expressed that the programme was not just a welcome but an awakening—an experience that reshaped how they saw themselves and their future.
The Induction Programme at Don Bosco Tech-Monada concluded with more than just smiles and handshakes. It marked the beginning of a purposeful journey—where 85 young individuals left not only as students but as motivated learners, bonded by community and guided by the spirit of Don Bosco. The week-long experience reaffirmed the institute’s commitment to holistic education, proving that true empowerment lies in nurturing both skills and values.
