On 21st June 2025, Don Bosco Tech Monsada came alive with a vibrant celebration of the 11th International Day of Yoga. The event, held in the college hallroom, began promptly at 11:30 a.m., drawing enthusiastic participation from students and faculty alike, all eager to explore the deeper dimensions of yoga beyond mere physical exercise.

The program commenced with an interactive session where students shared their perspectives on yoga. Their reflections revealed a remarkable depth of understanding—many spoke of yoga’s role in alleviating stress and enhancing mental well-being, while others highlighted its power to harmonize body, mind, and soul. A few students insightfully described yoga as a pathway to connect the atma, or soul, to the universal consciousness, while also cultivating focus, concentration, and inner balance.

Sir Provakar addressed the gathering next, presenting yoga as a holistic practice that strengthens immunity and sharpens mental clarity. He encouraged the audience to embrace yoga not just as a routine, but as a lifestyle that nurtures overall wellness.

Following him, Madam Mou shared her perspective, describing yoga as a transformative journey that empowers individuals to gain mastery over their mind and senses. Her words resonated deeply, especially with younger participants, inspiring them to view yoga as an essential tool for personal growth.

Sir Sebak then offered a philosophical insight, reminding everyone that ancient sages practiced yoga as a means to rise above worldly distractions and attain higher consciousness. His reflections lent a profound spiritual depth to the session, encouraging participants to explore yoga as a bridge between the material and the divine.

Sir Prokash further enriched the program by elaborating on yoga as a medium that connects humans with nature and the cosmos. He emphasized that through regular practice, one can awaken a deeper understanding of the universe and discover their true essence. He also demonstrated key pranayama techniques, including Anulom Vilom and Bhastrika, explaining their scientific benefits in calming the mind, enhancing concentration, and energizing the body.

The celebration concluded with Madam Mou leading a graceful Surya Namaskar demonstration, followed by a guided meditation session. Her serene guidance helped participants experience moments of inner stillness and clarity, leaving a lasting sense of rejuvenation.

The 11th International Day of Yoga at Don Bosco Tech Monsada was more than a ceremonial observance—it was a journey into self-awareness, spiritual insight, and holistic wellness. Students and faculty departed inspired, with a renewed appreciation of yoga’s timeless relevance in today’s fast-paced world.
