Don Bosco Tech-Monsada welcomed its new Batch-95 students and their parents from August 25 to 29, 2025, with a vibrant Induction cum Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) programme. Designed to foster collaboration, dialogue, and community engagement, the event served as a unique platform to bring together parents, educators, clergy members, and invited guests, with a total attendance of approximately 125 participants.

The programme commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, symbolizing knowledge, enlightenment, and the spirit of learning. A soulful welcome song performed by the students set a warm, celebratory tone, reflecting the energy and enthusiasm that would define the days ahead.

A cultural showcase emerged as one of the highlights of the event. Students captivated the audience with traditional and contemporary dances, a harmonious group song, and a thought-provoking skit on National Integration. These performances celebrated creativity, teamwork, and the values of unity and patriotism, offering a glimpse of the holistic development encouraged at Don Bosco Tech-Monsada.

Father Peter Gomes delivered an inspiring address that resonated deeply with all attendees. He emphasized that education extends beyond academic learning—it is a mission to shape character, instill values, and cultivate responsible citizenship. He underscored the pivotal role of parents as active partners in their children’s educational journey, reminding everyone that true learning flourishes when families and schools work hand in hand. The address left a lasting impression on both parents and faculty alike.

The heart of the programme lay in the parent-teacher interactions. One-to-one meetings provided parents with the opportunity to discuss their child’s academic progress, behavioural development, and social engagement. Teachers and parents collaborated to identify areas for growth, set realistic goals, and align expectations for the coming year. These sessions fostered transparency, trust, and mutual understanding, reinforcing the shared responsibility of nurturing the students.

The Induction cum PTA programme yielded significant outcomes. It strengthened the bond between educators and parents, creating a supportive network dedicated to the all-round development of students. The student performances highlighted the importance of extracurricular and cultural engagement in shaping confident, well-rounded individuals. Above all, the event reinforced the notion that education is a collaborative journey, one that thrives when families, teachers, and the institution move forward together with a shared vision.

Concluding the programme, there was a renewed sense of purpose and unity. The Induction cum PTA initiative at Don Bosco Tech-Monsada not only celebrated academic and cultural excellence but also set a precedent for meaningful, future engagement between parents and teachers. It reaffirmed the institution’s unwavering commitment to nurturing skilled, responsible, and value-driven individuals prepared to make a positive impact in society.
