Introduction
The five-day Induction Programme held at Don Bosco Tech–Monsada was designed to warmly welcome the new group of students and help them settle comfortably into the training session. Through a series of orientation sessions, motivational talks, group activities, and engaging games, the programme aimed to create a friendly and encouraging environment. It also helped them to build confidence, understand the importance of discipline, and develop a spirit of cooperation and teamwork.
Programme Proceedings
Each day of the induction began with the Prayer Song followed by the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of unity, respect, and discipline among the trainees.
On the first day, the trainees were introduced to the functioning of the centre, the staff members, and the different training departments. An inspiring NDTV video encouraged students to look at their future with determination and optimism. The session also included trainee self-introductions, allowing everyone to get to know one another better. The day concluded with an encouraging message from Father, which left the students feeling motivated and thoughtful about their new journey.
The second day focused on improving communication abilities and helping students understand different job responsibilities related to their training fields. The day began with a recap of the previous session to maintain continuity. Trainers explained various job roles and responsibilities, giving trainees a clearer picture of their future career paths. Activities such as group discussions and self-introduction exercises helped students interact with each other. Fun activities like the pyramid building with coffee cup game promoted teamwork and quick thinking. A motivational video by Srinibash Ramanujan, an Indian Mathematician always fixed his focus to learn deeply inspired the trainees, followed by discussions and energetic warm-up activities such as the Penguin Dance.
On the third day, the emphasis shifted towards knowledge development and mental awareness. Sessions on Brain in Education and Time Management highlighted how focus, discipline, and effective planning contribute to personal and academic success. Interactive activities like the Copy what a say game encouraged cooperation and coordination among the trainees. Short dance breaks and games kept the atmosphere lively throughout the day.
The fourth day continued with engaging educational sessions and interactive activities. A deeper discussion on the Seven Pillers of Health helped trainees understand how to live well and fit. A session on personality development guided students to reflect on their habits, strengths, and personal goals. Recreational games such as the Balloon and Cup activity and the cheerful Chicken Dance added fun and relaxation to the day. The screening of the animated film The Valley of Lost Ants provided visual learning while also encouraging creativity and imagination.
The final day focused on practical life skills that are essential for everyday life. The trainees attended engaging sessions on teamwork, the importance of communication, and goal setting. Mr. Prokash Halder conducted the sessions in an interactive and learner-friendly manner, encouraging students to actively participate and share their experiences. Through group discussions and practical examples, he explained how effective communication and teamwork contribute to both personal and professional success. He also emphasized the importance of setting clear and achievable goals to stay focused and motivated in life. Various activities were organized to help trainees understand the value of cooperation, leadership, and mutual respect. The sessions concluded with a reflection exercise, where trainees identified their personal goals and committed themselves to continuous growth and self-improvement.
