Introduction
On 18th March 2026, a Self-Introduction Competition was successfully conducted at the Don Bosco Tech Hall Room, organized by Don Bosco Tech Monsada. The primary objective of the program was to encourage students to develop confidence in public speaking, enhance their communication skills, and present themselves effectively in a professional manner.
A total of 25 students actively participated in the event. The activity was thoughtfully designed to provide each participant with an opportunity to introduce themselves before an audience and a panel of judges, thereby helping them overcome stage fear and improve their presentation abilities.
Proceedings of the Program
The program commenced with a warm welcome extended to all students, judges, and trainers. This was followed by a brief explanation of the purpose and format of the competition. Students were then invited to the stage one by one to deliver their self-introduction within the stipulated time limit. Each participant included key details such as their name, background, interests, strengths, and future aspirations.
The panel of judges carefully observed and evaluated each presentation based on clarity of expression, confidence level, fluency, body language, and overall presentation style. All participants displayed commendable enthusiasm and sincere effort. While some students demonstrated strong confidence and fluency, others impressed the audience with creativity and originality in their introductions.
Each presentation reflected the individuality and potential of the students, making the session engaging and interactive. After the completion of all presentations, the judges consolidated their evaluations and selected the top three performers based on the highest scores. This structured evaluation process fostered a healthy competitive spirit and motivated students to continuously improve their communication skills.
Concluding Session
Mr. Provakar Majumder, GSA Trainer, announced the final results. The first, second, and third prize winners were declared amid enthusiastic applause. The winners were congratulated for their outstanding performances, and all other participants were appreciated for their dedication and effort.
The session concluded with collective appreciation and encouragement for participation in future skill-development activities.
Conclusion
The concluding session began with an inspiring address by Mr. Prokash Halder, Communication Trainer. He congratulated all participants for their active involvement and emphasized that the true achievement of the program lay not merely in winning prizes, but in overcoming hesitation, building self-confidence, and developing the courage to speak before an audience.
The Self-Introduction Competition proved to be a meaningful and successful initiative. It provided all 25 students with a valuable platform to express themselves, build self-confidence, and strengthen essential communication skills.
The systematic evaluation, motivational guidance from the trainers, and recognition of talent made the program both impactful and inspiring.
