Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur arranged an exposure visit to Add World, Sambalpur for the betterment in professional ethics and knowledge of trainees. Visit was accompanied by Mr. Lalgopal Nanda (Domain Trainer) and Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda (Centre Coordinator) along with all Graphic Designer trainees on December 29, 2022, which helped them come across different processes and finer point of graphic design in a wholesome practical environment. The trainees arrived at the organization, where they were greeted by Mr. Abhishek Kejriwal of Add World.

Mr. Abhishek Kejriwal explained various processes of production of graphic product and demonstrated the activities involved in the process. He showed them different methods of production process. Trainees learned various techniques to produce graphic product as hard copy by various printing methods. Trainees understood the needs and observed the important types of Design Printing productions such as, flex printing, banner printing, card printing, bill book printing and also way of printing on hard materials such as sun board, hard plastic, tin panels and steel panels. The beauty of graphic design is that you’re very rarely pigeonholed into a box. There’s a lot of room to explore, grow, and develop your skills across new mediums and niches. As an artist, your unique style and artistic sense can translate across different departments and specialties he said and he has shared few possible career areas to explore in industry: Brand design, Brochure design, Illustration, Digital design, User experience (UX) design, Web design etc.

Getting the chance to work with multiple teams across various projects gives you a good understanding of your role as a designer. It also exposes you to other areas of the company, so you’ll get a crash course in how the organization works and how everyone’s roles contribute to a bigger goal. He has advised to after completion of training you should work somewhere then only you will know the beauty of graphic design.

The trainees also raised various questions to clear their doubts and Mr Abhishek complied gladly. ”On the whole the trip was quite informative and educative, quoted” the trainees.

It is rightly said that “See & know’ is better than ‘read & learn’. Trainees have got real feel of Graphic designer during this visit. They got a chance to transfer their theoretical knowledge to practical implication. Indeed it was a wonderful exposure to the aspirants which gave them a space of wide knowledge and learning experience. Mr. Lalgopal (Trainer) and trainees of DB Tech extend their gratitude to Mr abhishek for his kind cooperation permission and support he rendered to make the visit a successful with accomplishment of objective. Trainees were very happy and were thankful to Don Bosco Tech for organizing the field trip.
