The 1st guest lecturer session for the Graphic Designer job role was successfully organized at Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur Center on “Backdrop and Banner Designing” on July 13, 2023 for the trainees of batch - 2, Accenture 2023-24. Mr. Abhishek Sharma, from AS Photography, was invited as the guest lecturer.

The guest lecture session started with the welcome address by the domain trainer Mr. Lalgopal Nanda. He introduced Mr. Sharma and requested him to deliver the lecture.

Mr. Sharma briefed the trainees on different aspects of poster and banner designing and editing. He furthered his session by pointing out and explaining various parts of poster and banner designing; such as message composing, designing, and color management. He encouraged the trainees by citing examples of success stories of people in the relevant field. He showcased the job opportunities and career graph along with associated value addition in terms of financial support, career opportunity, and growth. Now a day he said, graphic and visual communication is everywhere. He presented the current scenario and showcased the career opportunities it offers with the rise in demand for graphic designers & editors. He also made it a point to mention the abundance of job opportunities even in small towns that one can pursue after completion of his graphic design course.

In the subsequent part of the session, trainees raised queries to clear their doubts on the subject and Mr. Sharma answered them to their complete satisfaction. Mr. Sharma was very happy by the participation and interest shown by the participants in the program. The lecture was very informative and the students enjoyed the lecture very much and looking forward to attend more such lectures in future.

Mr. Sharma summed up the session by deliberating on the enormous scope for designers and artists leading to a decent livelihood for young creative/innovative personnel. The session ended with a hearty thanks to Mr. Sharma by support domain trainer Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda in appreciation for taking the time out to educate the trainees.
