The batch inauguration ceremony for Job role Mushroom Grower, Batch - 9 Accenture – 12 was held at Don Bosco Tech, Sambalpur, Odisha on March 1, 2023. Mr. Sarat Chandra Dash extended a hearty welcome to the guests as well as the new trainees and requested the chief guest Sr. Sofia Augustine to mark the opening of the event by initiating lighting the lamp.  Sr. Sofia lighted the lamp along with Mr. Dash and few trainees.

Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda the Centre Coordinator briefed regarding our project and its work for the youth of our society. He also stressed on the positive side of getting into DB Tech’s skilling program. On being requested the chief guest Sr. Sofia Augustine spoke on the future prospects of the skilling program for the unemployed youth and its benefits as a whole. She also shed light on the nutritional value of mushroom in the food chart for a developing nation like India. She concluded her speech by emphasizing on the ample cost effective opportunity that mushroom cultivation provides in terms of livelihood, self-employment and economic development. She expressed hope that the expected outcomes of this training will provide clear dimensions to the extension of mushroom cultivation technology, and the participants will be able to apply their skills and knowledge during cultivation of mushroom.

The domain trainer in his address to the trainees also laid emphasis on self-employment against the harsh reality of running after a job. He also spelled out the rules and regulation for trainees while they are in the campus.

Mr. Lalgopal Nanda spoke on short term training program and the mission initiated by Don Bosco Tech Society in association with Accenture. He summed up the program by offering vote of thanks to the guests as well as the trainees.
