Every exposure visit helps students experience the real-time working environment, creating awareness among them about the industrial practices. Don Bosco Tech Society, Sambalpur had organized for its Trainee Associate trainees an exposure visit to Vishal Mega Mart located at Sambalpur on November 1, 2019. The trainees had the opportunity to learn various types of displays from the store. They interacted with several staff members, got their queries solved. These trainees were exposed to live demonstrations; customer handling and sales closing activities. 

They observed how the associates help customers. Customers must feel that someone is available to help them during their needs, answer product related questions, and showing them a product that meets their needs. It was also an opportunity to observe how to maintain stores; clean, organized, stocking items, and checking out customers. They learned how to communicate with the customers too. They learned to answer customers’ queries, solving their problems. This was an occasion to gain practical knowledge on managing stock, labeling, preparing a daily inventory, among other things. 

This visit was a way forward in the life of these aspiring professionals in marketing. The trainees learned the importance of working in a team to be an effective sales associate. As they left the premises, thanked the stakeholders of Vishal Mega Mart for their guidance and support.
