On November 17, 2023, Don Bosco Tech, Sambalpur, took a significant step forward by inaugurating Batch 6 for the Mushroom Grower job role in partnership with Accenture 2023-24. The ceremony commenced with Mr. Dillip Kumar Behera extending a warm welcome to esteemed guests and newly enrolled trainees.

The event opened with a symbolic gesture as Sr. Sarita Kujur, the esteemed chief guest, was invited to light the ceremonial lamp, symbolizing the start of an enlightening journey. Joined by the trainer and select trainees, Sr. Sarita illuminated the lamp, signifying the enlightenment that accompanies learning.

In his address, Mr. Lalgopal Nanda emphasized the pivotal role of the project in empowering marginalized youth. He presented an insightful overview of DB Tech's skilling program, highlighting its nationwide reach and its focused efforts in western Odisha, showcasing the profound benefits it offers.

Sr. Sarita, as the chief guest, passionately emphasized the link between skill development and improved livelihoods through self-employment. She delved into the significance of mushrooms, their medicinal and nutritional value, and their economic importance.
