2nd Guest Lecture for Graphics Designer Job Role, Batch - 5, Accenture - 12

The second guest lecturer session for the Graphic Designer job role was successfully organized at Don Bosco Tech Sambalpur Center on “Album Designing and Photo Re-Touching” on March 16, 2023 for the trainees of batch - 5 of Accenture-12. Mr. Sunil Mishra, from Avi Photo-Works, was invited as the guest lecturer.
The event started with a warm welcome address by the domain trainer Mr. Lalgopal Nanda. He introduced the guest to the trainees and staff and requested the guest to deliver the lecture.
Mr. Mishra started his session with different aspects of photo editing. He again explained different types of album designs and parts thereof. He covered framing, photo retouching, collage composing, and color management. He also briefed the job opportunities associated with it. He pointed out the trainees about their career path as graphic designers and the initial compensation package offered in the industry in different cities in India. He also indicated the vast scope for a graphic designer and said how one can easily feel the presence of graphic and visual communication everywhere. From websites, illustrated books, and brandings to packaging, every aspect of one's life is in some way or other influenced by graphics. Mr. Mishra observed how with the ever-rising demand for graphic design, there has been a plethora of job opportunities for album designers & photo editing trainees and the scope to work the job profiles that one can pursue after completion of the course, such as Photo Colourist, Album Designer, Graphic Designer, Poster Designers and Design Entrepreneur, etc.
In the Q&A session, trainees raised questions about the growth of the sector as a whole. Mr. Mishra also gave a few tips on techniques and scope of managing and balancing album/ photo mood according to the client’s requirements. Trainees were very enthusiastic and energetic throughout the session.
The session of the day concluded with thanksgiving by Mr. Sarada Prasad Nanda in appreciation for taking the time out to educate the trainees.
