On October 29th, 2020, Don Bosco Tech Chandigarh hosted an enlightening guest lecture on the Zoom meeting app, focusing on HIV awareness. The session was specifically designed for the CRM Domestic Voice and General Duty Assistant domains. Mrs. Poonam Thakur, a dedicated counselor from the HIV AIDS Society in Sector 15, Chandigarh, led the session. With 13 years of experience in the field, Mrs. Thakur provided a wealth of knowledge, discussing the symptoms and precautions related to HIV and sharing her extensive experiences.
The event saw enthusiastic participation from our trainees and trainers at the Chandigarh location, with 3 trainers and approximately 31 trainees in attendance. Mrs. Thakur's presentation was not only informative but also deeply engaging, as she addressed numerous queries from the students. Her insights into the disease, including the hopeful message that HIV can be managed with medication, were particularly impactful.
Mrs. Thakur shared inspiring stories of HIV-positive individuals who are leading healthy lives, which left a lasting impression on the attendees. The session was a significant learning experience, leaving everyone feeling more informed and motivated. The trainees expressed a strong desire to spread this vital knowledge further and contribute to making India free from AIDS.
