On October 26, 2021, Don Bosco Tech Chandigarh organized a guest lecture for the CRM Domestic voice batch on HIV awareness. It was conducted by the senior managing director of HIV society Mrs Shelly Sharma. All the Trainers were present. Mrs Shelly Sharma from HIV AIDS control society was invited as the resource person for the lecture who was given a warm welcome by the staff & trainees. The program began with Mrs Chamandeep Chhabra introducing Mrs Shelly Sharma to the students. Mrs Shelly Sharma delivered an impressive lecture on HIV-AIDS awareness & informed that the full form of HIV is Human Immune Deficiency Virus. She also shared a lot of experiences with the trainees from her life as well so that trainees can understand the criticality of the disease. She told them that friendship is a major part of our life and we should have a lot of friends who can help us in good and hard times but along with this she also explained that we should also know the real meaning of friendship and that should also be in some limits. She informed students that HIV/AIDS has no cure. The infection weakens the body so much so that body cannot fight the virus or get it out. At the interactive session, attended by both male and female students, Mrs Shelly Sharma briefed the audience on the spread and prevention of HIV-AIDS in society. Thereafter, she interacted with the trainees who came up with many queries. She replied to their questions and convinced them with suitable explanations. Trainees participated actively in the interacting sessions. Trainees also wholeheartedly took part in the Lecture and clarified their doubts. It was a memorable day and the trainees and trainers were highly grateful to Mrs Shelly for sharing important information.
