"On January 31st, 2023, Don Bosco Tech Chandigarh hosted a Special Assembly in honor of the feast of Saint John Bosco, commemorated annually on the same date. The event commenced at half past 10 in the morning on the Institute's porch, gathering both staff members and students in attendance.
The Assembly commenced with a solemn Morning Prayer led by the staff members, followed by a touching moment where the Director, Fr. Reji, adorned the statue of John Bosco with a garland and kindled a candle in his honor.
Fr. Reji provided a succinct overview of John Bosco's life, underscoring his dedicated work with the youth and his enduring Salesian mission. Students from various programs within Don Bosco, including skill development, BA, NIOS, and remedial classes, paid homage to John Bosco by offering flowers in reverence.
Expressing his gratitude, Fr. Reji lauded the management, staff, and students for their impeccable organization of the event. He extended warm wishes to all present on the Feast of St. John Bosco, emphasizing the profound impact of Bosco's legacy on their lives. Additionally, he shed light on the significant contributions of the initial Salesian missionaries, echoing their motto: Dare and Hope.
The program continued with a melodious rendition of the song 'We thank you O Lord for Don Bosco' by the trainees, filling the atmosphere with heartfelt gratitude. Ladoos were then distributed among the students and faculty members, symbolizing sweetness and camaraderie.
