On August 16, 2023, Don Bosco Tech Society Chandigarh celebrated the 77th Independence Day and the 108th birthday of St. Don Bosco with great enthusiasm and patriotism. The event was a vibrant showcase of unity, diversity, and heritage, organized in collaboration with the students and staff of Don Bosco Navjeevan Society Chandigarh. The day commenced at 10 a.m. with a series of meticulously planned activities across ten remedial centers in different areas of Chandigarh. The celebrations included flag hoisting, cultural performances, patriotic songs, dances, poems, speeches, and a heartfelt tribute to the freedom fighters of our country.

The highlight of the event was the flag hoisting ceremony, where all participants stood in rows, and Father hoisted the National flag. This was followed by a collective rendition of the National Anthem, filling everyone's hearts with pride and patriotism. Students actively participated by presenting patriotic songs, dances, and poems, while some delivered speeches highlighting the significance of the day. Father Reji also shared insightful thoughts on the importance of Independence Day and encouraged everyone to remember and honor the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

Additionally, the celebration doubled as an occasion to commemorate the 108th birthday of St. Don Bosco, fostering a sense of community and shared values among the students and staff of the Skill Development Program, NIOS, and BA program at Don Bosco Navjeevan Society Chandigarh. The program was concluded with a vote of thanks. In the end, sweets were distributed to the students. Students feel very happy and greatfull.
