On July 15, 2023, Don Bosco Tech's Chandigarh center celebrated World Youth Skills Day, a global initiative established by the United Nations to promote skill development among young people. This special day not only encourages the cultivation of diverse talents but also aims to eliminate gender inequality in all spheres of life. It underscores the importance of continuous learning and skill enhancement to stand out in an increasingly competitive world.
Our celebration provided a vibrant platform for students to showcase their talents in various fields, such as painting, drawing, and digital poster making. The event was a testament to the enthusiasm and creativity of our students, who actively participated and demonstrated their skills with great zeal.
The activities were designed as team exercises, with students grouped into pairs or trios. This collaborative approach emphasized the importance of teamwork and collective effort. As trainers, we meticulously prepared all the necessary materials in advance to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Both boys and girls participated eagerly, reflecting the inclusive spirit of the day. Staff members were on hand to assist and encourage the students, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere. The event culminated in a photo session, capturing the joyful and motivated faces of our trainees.
Through this celebration, many students learned about World Youth Skills Day for the first time, gaining a deeper understanding of its significance. The event not only highlighted the importance of such commemorations but also inspired both trainees and trainers to value and promote skill development continuously. It was a day of learning, fun, and newfound awareness, leaving a lasting impact on everyone involved.
