March 6th, 2024, Don Bosco Tech Chandigarh commemorated International Women's Day in conjunction with Foundation Day, showcasing its dedication to empowering underprivileged youth through vocational training and education. As an integral part of the global Don Bosco network, the institution is committed to providing students with the necessary skills and knowledge that align with the demands of the current job market. This not only enhances their prospects for employment but also significantly improves their living standards. The celebration was a vibrant confluence of students from diverse backgrounds, offering them a unique opportunity to engage with and draw inspiration from accomplished women leaders across various sectors.

The day was packed with a variety of engaging activities aimed at enriching participants, understanding and appreciation of both the challenges and triumphs women face globally. Highlights includes  storytelling sessions focused on lesser-known female heroes, organized quizzes and debates aimed at dismantling gender stereotypes, as well as art projects allowing students to express their visions of a future characterized by gender equality. Followed by quizzes and debates  prizes were distributed to the winners, further enhancing the festive spirit. The celebration then moved outdoors to a park, where games and performances centered on women's empowerment introduced a dynamic element to the festivities. The students' participation was marked by great enthusiasm, showcasing their eagerness to absorb and celebrate the essence of the day. The event concluded on a high note, leaving the students with a sense of joy and a deeper appreciation for the importance of gender equality.
