Guest Lecture CRM Domestic Non Voice
22 May 2024
On 22nd May 2024, the Don Bosco Tech Society Chandigarh Centre hosted an illuminating guest lecture for students enrolled in the CRM Domestic Non-Voice course. The session was led by Miss Muskan Nagpal and Miss Pragya, both of whom are currently pursuing their studies at Chitkara University while working part-time in the BPO sector. Their combined academic and professional experiences lent a rich, practical perspective to the discourse.
The lecture began with a clear explanation of Business Process Outsourcing (BPO), which involves delegating specific business functions to external service providers. Miss Nagpal elaborated on the two main types of BPO: front office and back office outsourcing. She also addressed the inherent risks of BPO, such as data security breaches, loss of control over critical processes, cultural differences, and regulatory compliance issues. To mitigate these risks, she recommended several strategies, including robust contractual agreements, stringent security protocols, continuous monitoring, and fostering strong partnerships with trusted BPO providers.
Miss Pragya then took the stage to discuss the evolving trends and future opportunities within the BPO sector. She highlighted the significant role of technology advancements, particularly in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotic process automation (RPA), which are driving a shift towards intelligent automation and cognitive BPO. This new approach integrates AI-driven algorithms and machine learning to improve efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making processes. Additionally, she noted the increasing demand for specialized BPO services, such as healthcare outsourcing, legal process outsourcing, and creative process outsourcing, which offer lucrative opportunities for niche service providers.
The session concluded with a comprehensive overview of the transformative impact of BPO on organizational performance, agility, and competitiveness in today's globalized economy. The students left the lecture feeling inspired and equipped with valuable insights into the dynamic world of Business Process Outsourcing, eager to apply this newfound knowledge in their future careers.
