On 20th May 2022, Raffellycia Marwein, a former Housekeeping student of the Shillong Centre was placed in Grande Bay Chennai. She was working for a period of 2 years but currently working in Golf Retreat Shillong came to the center and delivered a lecture on etiquette and personality grooming session for the current batch of trainees.

There was a total of 20 trainees present on this day, all of whom were eager and excited to know about the hotel industry. The interactive session finished after about 2 hours. During the interaction with the trainees, she focused on all the things she herself learned in the 2 years period while she was outside of Meghalaya. She talked about her personal experience and educated the trainees on the various etiquette and mannerisms required to excel in the hotel industry, particularly stressed on personal conduct as being very important in the workplace and in life in general. Personal conduct and a good moral code were something essential in the hotel industry. Moreover, each one should be prepared to overcome any hardships they come across in life. She also encouraged trainees to work hard as easy life will not come immediately.

Overall, the meeting with the trainees was a very successful one as the trainees were satisfied and all their questions were answered. The purpose of learning was accomplished and the prospect of making the trainees aware of the technical know-how of the hotel industry was also gratefully received by the trainees.
