On December 6, 2023, the Housekeeping Trainees B2, part of the Mindtree project under the LTI Mindtree Foundation, were honored to host Ms. D.K. Shabong, a distinguished Sub Inspector from the Laitumkhrah Police Station, as their guest lecturer.

The session, expertly organized by Miss Genesis Najiar and Placement Coordinator Miss Rhiedolcy Diengdoh, was a remarkable event that resonated deeply with both the trainers and trainees alike.

Ms. Shabong commenced the lecture by sharing her rich experiences of studying and residing beyond the state, emphasizing the values of integrity and dignity irrespective of one's profession or educational background. Her impassioned call for embracing diverse cultures and lifestyles resonated strongly, urging the trainees to strive for excellence and compete at the highest levels.

Addressing the challenges encountered by today's youth, Ms. Shabong highlighted the significance of making resolute choices during this critical phase of life. She cautioned against the allure of peer pressure and the dangers of substance abuse, specifically emphasizing the irreversible consequences of drug addiction. Her emphasis on steering clear of alcohol and cigarettes for a healthier future was particularly impactful.
