On 17th May 2022, the Housekeeping Manual Attendant B4 students went for an Industrial visit to Hotel Poinisuk

Laitumkhrah Shillong. Miss Safira, HR of hotel Poinisuk introduced the housekeeping supervisor to the trainees. All the employees in the hotel were experienced, dedicated, and ready to share their knowledge with the trainees. Ms. Safira had taken them for a tour of the hotel, explained to trainees the different types of rooms available, demonstrated how to make a bed, and explained the rooms' facilities and guest amenities. All the trainees had an opportunity to visit the Restaurant, Banquet Hall, and Kitchen as part of their round visit, in which they learned the flow of work in different departments.

Staffs of the hotel were very much impressed to see the Don Bosco Tech trainees who showed eagerness, and ability to learn and work as part of their training. They encouraged them to acquire all the basic skills in their three months of training and become professional in their work.

Trainees not only learned but they interacted with and cleared their doubts in hotel operation and service departments from the staff.

The purpose of the trip was to learn more about the hospitality sector and its different departments as it helps them get a feel of the job and duties they have to undertake later on.
