On August 19, 2024, the Don Bosco Tech Society Shillong Centre hosted an enlightening and engaging parents' meeting for the trainees enrolled in the Food & Beverage Service Associate B2 program, part of the Skill Meghalaya project for 2024-2025. The event was a dynamic showcase of the promising journey that lies ahead for the participants.

The session kicked off with a warm welcome extended to both parents and trainees, setting a positive tone for the day. Miss Rhiedolcy, the driving force behind the program, delivered an informative presentation that meticulously outlined the training process. Parents were captivated as they learned about the comprehensive and methodical approach that their children would experience, from initial training to eventual job placement.

What made this meeting particularly exciting was the detailed insight provided into the transformative journey awaiting the trainees. The program promises to equip participants with a rich array of skills in the food and beverage sector, ensuring they are well-prepared for their future careers. The highlight of the session was the assurance of job placements upon completion of the training. These placements, although located outside the state, come with a unique benefit—a monthly tracking system for one year, which adds an extra layer of support and accountability.

The meeting not only informed parents about the specific skills their children will acquire but also instilled a sense of optimism and confidence about their future prospects. The enthusiasm and gratitude expressed by the parents underscored their appreciation for the dedicated efforts of Don Bosco Tech Society in transforming the lives of youth who had previously dropped out of school. The event concluded with a renewed sense of hope and excitement, as parents left with a deeper understanding of the valuable opportunities their children are about to embrace.
