On 22nd August 2025, the trainees of Don Bosco Tech, Kollam from IT Customer Care Executive – Batch B5 (250219) and AI Cloud Application Developer – Batch B1 (250220) participated in an industrial visit to Liscom Solutions and Services Pvt. Ltd. (Craysol Technologies, Kochi).

The visit was organized to provide students with first-hand exposure to a professional work environment in the telecom and IT sectors, bridging the gap between classroom learning and industry practice.

The trainees were warmly welcomed by the company’s team and given an overview of its operations. Mr. Shiva (HR Executive) presented a detailed introduction to the organization, highlighting its innovative service models and customer engagement strategies, especially in the telecom domain. He emphasized the importance of developing strong customer interaction skills that foster trust and long-term relationships.

Ms. Monica (HR Manager) added further insights by stressing the role of empathy, communication, and continuous skill-building in shaping successful professionals, particularly in the field of IT technical support.

 

A guided workplace tour allowed students to observe daily processes, workplace culture, and the operational standards of a leading technology company. This exposure helped them connect academic learning with real-world practices, making the experience more impactful.

 

A major highlight of the visit was the Placement Orientation Session, which prepared trainees for their future career journeys. The session covered interview preparation, resume presentation, workplace etiquette, and career growth opportunities. The interactive format encouraged students to clarify doubts, understand employer expectations, and build confidence for their professional endeavors.

For the Cloud Application Developer trainees, the company organized a focused session on the PHP Developer job role. This session helped them understand core responsibilities such as backend development, database handling, and integration with cloud-based solutions. It also highlighted essential skills like programming expertise, logical problem-solving, and adaptability, while outlining the career scope and industry demand for PHP professionals. This guidance provided trainees with a clear roadmap for specialized IT roles.

Mr. Juby Thomas (State Operational Head) also graced the occasion, giving an introduction to the overall operations of Don Bosco Tech Society across Kerala. He was accompanied by Ms. Meesha (Centre Coordinator, Vaduthala Centre). During the program, he presented a certificate and gift to Master Abdulla A M (DB Techie of the Skill Connect 2025 activity, Kerala State) in the presence of Ms. Monica and the HR team of Liscom Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

The visit successfully blended theory with practice. For the Customer Care trainees, it reinforced the importance of soft skills, client-handling strategies, and professional conduct. For the Cloud Application Developer trainees, it showcased the significance of adaptability, teamwork, and technical expertise in achieving success in IT careers.
