On 7 August 2025, Mr. Amit A., Senior Executive for Placements, visited Don Bosco Tech, Kollam. The visit began with a staff meeting, where Mr. Amit engaged with the team to discuss ongoing initiatives, share placement insights, and align strategies for strengthening the training and placement process.

Following the meeting, Mr. Amit conducted a joint interactive session for students from two batches – IT–Customer Care Executive (Batch B5 – 250219) and Cloud Application Developer (Batch B1 – 250220). The session focused on the importance of skill development and financial independence, highlighting how acquiring industry-relevant skills opens pathways to diverse career opportunities. Through engaging activities, he encouraged students to aim for self-sufficiency and long-term career growth. The students participated actively, showing enthusiasm and commitment.

Later, Mr. Amit met with the Center Director, Fr. Antony Joseph, and staff members to review the day’s proceedings and gather feedback. The discussion addressed the following key points:

  1. Shortage of Properly Working Computer Systems – The need for additional and functional computer systems to facilitate effective IT training.

  2. Delay in Issuance of Certificates – Concerns regarding delays in certificate distribution for the last four batches, potentially affecting students’ placement opportunities.

  3. Proposal for New Domain Introduction – A suggestion by the Center Director to introduce new training domains to align with market demands.

  4. Branding Enhancement – Recommendation to prominently display the DB Tech branding framework in the staff room to strengthen institutional identity and values.

The visit concluded with a group photograph, capturing the collective enthusiasm of students and staff. Overall, the visit proved highly productive, inspiring students to pursue their professional goals with renewed motivation while also addressing operational improvements for the center.
