World Youth Skill Day is celebrated on 15th July by adopting a resolution by the United Nations General Assembly in December 2014. The main aim of the day is to achieve better socio-economic conditions for today's youth in terms of challenges of unemployment and under-employment. Its objective is to spread awareness about technical, vocational education training, and the development of other skills. The celebration of World Youth Skill Day took place at Don Bosco Tech Society (DB Tech) Jalandhar Punjab in July 2022. The trainees of both the domains, CRM & E-Commerce participated in this event.
Some of the trainees understand the importance of preserving the environment and learning more about sustainability. They know that we should not throw away wasted things, we could use them again for different purposes, and that we should not cause harm to nature. In order to achieve that idea, they made some models out of waste. Some motivated the others through their paintings to preserve nature from the pollution spreading on earth and make children aware of uses of waste material. The zeal and excitement were shown to showcase their skills.
The Center Coordinator told all the trainees that The day also highlights the important role of skilled youth in addressing current and future global challenges. It is known that Skill India is an initiative of the central government which was launched to empower the youth skill and make them more employable and more productive in their work environment.
